What Pisto is

You tell us about someone you're buying a gift for, and we return product suggestions drawn from our catalogue and third-party retailers, with automatically generated reasoning for each one — including, in some cases, reasoning generated by third-party language-model providers. Pisto does not sell products. When you buy something, you buy it from the retailer whose link you clicked.

No guarantee on suggestions, pricing, or availability

• Suggestions are generated automatically and may be wrong, mismatched, or simply not what you were hoping for. Use your own judgment before buying.
• Prices, stock, and product details are set by the retailer, not by us, and can change without notice. The price shown here may not be the price you're charged — always confirm it on the retailer's own site before buying.
• We don't guarantee the service will be available, uninterrupted, or error-free, or that any particular product, retailer, or price stays in our catalogue.

Purchases are with the retailer, not with us

When you click through to buy, you leave Pisto and deal directly with that retailer (for example, Amazon Australia). Any resulting contract of sale — payment, delivery, returns, warranties, and customer service — is between you and the retailer. We are not a party to it. Some outbound links earn us a commission at no extra cost to you; see our affiliate disclosure.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose, or submit content you don't have the right to submit.
• Circumvent technical restrictions, access the service by automated means, or interfere with its normal operation.
• Misuse the outbound links, including artificially generating clicks.

We may limit, suspend, or end access for use that breaches these terms.

Intellectual property

The Pisto name, logo, and site design belong to us. Product names, images, and descriptions belong to their retailers or brand owners and are used to help you identify products, not claimed as ours.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pisto is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the service, including loss arising from a suggestion, price, or availability turning out to be wrong, or from a purchase made with a third-party retailer.

This does not exclude your Australian Consumer Law rights. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 to the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)) or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted, or modified. Where our liability can be limited rather than excluded, it is limited to the extent the law allows.

Changes to the service and these terms

We may change or discontinue features, and may update these terms from time to time. We'll update the date at the top when we do. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law, and how to reach us

These terms are governed by the law of Victoria, Australia. You and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that state. For anything about these terms, email hello@pisto.com.au.
